Interactive reports of an international experience by students of INHolland

Students who go abroad for an internship gain valuable experiences. For example; a life in another country will show another view on the world of media.

At Touch Base, once a month InHolland exchange students will show what they experience by making home made videos with a flip camera. They will show this in the monthly live show which is coordinated by GNR8 in The Netherlands. The students make videos of approximately two minutes in which they share their life abroad with others. In the English spoken live show there will be made a connection with the exchange students, in which they get the opportunity to show their videos and comment on it.

Through this website, specially set up for this project, they can keep their family, friends, classmates and teachers up to date with their experiences. Every student who participates in this project gets his or her own profile page where they can upload their photos, films and blogs.

Per month there will be agreed upon a central theme such as; life on campus, international friends, life at the dorm etc. Furthermore the students make a video with the focus on the media landscape of the concerned country. This way the differences between global media trends can be reviewed.

The main target of Touch Base is to demonstrate the ties with international universities to future exchange students as well as to teachers and employees of InHolland and to the hosting universities.
